Toll taxes are often used to fund the construction, maintenance, and operation of roads, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure. They can help cover the costs of repairs, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. Vehicles stop and pay tolls at physical toll booths or plazas through automatic fast tag (prepaid account). Toll taxes can vary widely depending on factors such as the type of vehicle, the distance travelled, the location, and the time of day. Some tolls are fixed, while others are distance-based. Dynamic toll pricing may be used to manage traffic flow by charging higher tolls during peak hours and lower tolls during off-peak times.
