Day 1: Delhi – Vrindavan (190 Km/4 Hours)

Early morning leave for Vrindavan and check in the hotel. In the afternoon leave for Barsana to witness the most happening and colorful holi festival. Torists arrive at this occasion from corners of country and world. The festivities begin with Lathmar Holi played in Barsana, a small village near Mathura. Lathmar Holi usually begins around a week before the main Holiday. From many years there is a tradition of Lathmar holi where women of Barsana village welcome men from Nandgaon with wooden sticks in their hand. They throw colorful water on them, beat men with lath and sing song to celebrate this auspicious occasion. After a tiring day, return back to your hotel and take proper rest.

Day 2 : Vrindavan

Post morning breakfast, leave for Nandgaon as celebration in Barsana is followed by similar celebrations in Nandgaon on the second day of Holi tour. Nandgaon is the village where lord Krishna spent his childhood. As the legend goes, Radha with her friends called Gopis would come to Nandgaon on this day to take revenge on Krishna and his friends by splashing color on them. Following similar tradition men and women of Nandgaon celebrate holi in same style.

Day 3 : Vrindavan: Holi Celebration At Banke Bihari Temple

The Banke Bihari Temple is the most revered temple that hosts a week long celebrations during Holi here. During the festivital, Bihariji(krishna’s another name) is dressed up in white clothes and priests sprinkle colour on everyone that makes the whole atmosphere livelier with bhajans playing in the background and people dance on the tunes. On this day of Ekadashi before Holi, there are special celebrations at famous Banke Bihari Temple at Vrindavan in the afternoon after the Temple gate opens at about 4 pm. Here you will find another aspect of Holi celebration with colorful flowers, not with colour. Stay overnight at hotel in Vrindavan.

Day 4 : Vrindavan – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

On day 4th of Holi tour, you will take an excuse from holi celebrations and enjoy the heritage monuments. Depart from Vrindavan early morning for Agra and enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is a well-known historical place of architectural significance. It is an ancient city built in 16th century by the Mughal emperor Akbar. Akbar built this city in honor of Sheikh Salim Chishti.
Afterwards stay overnight at hotel in Agra.

Day 5 : Agra – Vrindavan

Wake up early and visit world famous “Taj Mahal” during sunrise that shows a different color of Taj in its morning rays. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj. If you have adored Taj Mahal only in pictures, then must witness the beauty of taj.

Come back to the hotel after visiting Taj Mahal. Post breakfast leave for Vrindavan. Celebrate holi festival in nice atmosphere of Vrindavan.

Day 6: Vrindavan

Vrindavan is the main centre of holi celebration. Visit as early as possible to Banke Bihari temple in the morning as the temple opens early morning. Play Holi with the lord Krishna with colors, flowers. The priests throw colour and holy water and the crowd chants and dance madly in unison. The full on masti goes till 12 pm, after that temple get closed as its time for rest of Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, drive towards Mathura to participate in the colourful Holi procession which starts at Vishram Ghat. You will observe many kids dressed up as Radha Krishna and decorated jhanki. As it is the day of Holika Dahan, enjoy the rituals in evening. Holika Dahan is supposed to win truth over evil. Afterwards, return back to hotel and rest overnight.

Day 7: Vrindavan

Today is the day for which you are waiting from long time. The biggest event takes place at the historical Dwarkadheesh Temple in Mathura. Enjoy the fun frolic activities of throwing colors on each other as well as bhang preparation. Get colored in colors of holi at dham of Lord Krishna. Enjoy holi sweets and delicacies like Dahivade, kachori and other items. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8: Vrindavan – Delhi

Post breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Here the holi tour package ends with colorful memories.
