Places to Visit in Adi Kailash Yatra
Adi Kailash is second most important Kailash after Kailash Mansarovar. There is a sacred Parvati Sarovar and a small temple dedicated to Mahadev and Maa Parvati. Apart from this you can see another special place which is called 'Bheem Ki Kheti' From Parvati Sarovar you can see divine views of Himalayan peaks all around. Om Parvat is another important place to must visit during Adi Kailash Yatra. To see Om Parvat, you must reach a place called Nabidhang from Gunji via Kalapani. Nabhidhang is about 18 kilometers away from Gunji, and from here you get to see the sacred Om Mountain, the snow lying on this mountain takes the shape of the word Om, that is why this mountain was named Om Parvat. Darshan of Mount Om is an important part of Adi Kailash Yatra without which the journey to Adi Kailash is incomplete.

Dharchula is connected by road from various parts of Uttarakhand. If you are coming from Delhi distance between Delhi and Dharchula is 591 km approx and it takes around 13-14 hours by car or bus. Day 1: Delhi to Kathgodam/Haldwani
- Accommodation: Hotel (Double/Triple sharing)
- Distance: 295 Kms
- Travel Time: 6-7 Hours
Designated driver for the trip will meet at your location in Delhi NCR with desired tourist vehicle. You can book bus on rent in Delhi to Kathgodam. The Yatra will begin by chanting Om Namah Shivay. Delhi to Kathgodam distance is approx 300 km and travel time is 6 hours. Your first stop is at Kathgodam- a fascinating town in Uttarakhand. You can also reach Kathgodam by your own by train or road from your city. On arrival, check in hotel and stay overnight.

Day 2: Kathgodam to Pithoragrah
- Distance: 180 Kms
- Travel Time: 7-8 Hours
- Elevation: 1500 Metres
From Kathgodam, drive to Pithoragarh which is 180 km approx and will take another 7 hours. The trip will start early in the morning and visit to Neem karoli Baba Temple at kainchi Dham. Stay overnight in Pithoragarh.

Day 3: Pithoragarh to Dharchula
- Distance: 180 Kms
- Travel Time: 7-8 Hours
- Elevation: 1500 Metres
The road cuts across attractive sceneries including forests, villages as well as hilly places and will take approximately 3-4 hours. After you reach Dharchula- the base camp for Adi Kailash Yatra is a village located at the bank of Kali River. You will check in to your hotel and rest for the night. Here paperwork for Inner line permit will be processed after arrival. (This route can cross country borders)

Day 4: Dharchula to Gunji
- Distance: 72 Kms
- Travel Time: 2-3 Hours
- Elevation: 3000 Metres
On third day you will start early and drive from Dharchula to Gunji village. It is base station for travellers to trek for Om Parvat Adi Kailash. The drive will pass through beautiful landscapes, forests and small villages as Chialekh, Garbyang and Nepalchu. Food and stay in guest house on sharing basis will be provided in Gunji.

Day 5: Gunji to Jyolinkong
- Distance: 65 Kms + 3-4 Km trek
- Travel Time: 3-4 Hours
- Elevation: 4500 Metres
Finally, it is the day to visit Adi Kailash. Drive to Jyolingkong from Gunji in local jeeps to have holy darshan of Adi kailash Om Parvat. On the way to Adi Kailash, take stops to see Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort, Brahma Parvat, Pandav Parvat and Parvati Mukut. From Jyolingkong, you have to do 3-4 km trek to visit Parvati Lake (Gauri Kund) and Adi Kailash Temple. You may take a holy dip in the lake and bring the holy water in a bottle. After spending some time here, trek back and drive back to Gunji.

Day 6: Gunji to Om Parvat via Kalapani
Post breakfast, drive to Nabhidang via Kalapani which is 22 km drive. Nabhidang is view point of Om Parvat. There you will see om symbol (ॐ) that is naturally formed on the snow face of the mountain which is most famous about Om Parvat. This is something that makes people feel blessed and energized at the same time. Drive back to explore Kalapani village, visit Ved Vyas Gufa, Kali Temple. Enroute have lovely views of Sheshnag Parvat.

Day 7: Gunji to Dharchula
- Distance: 75 Kms
- Travel Time: 3-4 Hours
- Elevation: 940 Metres
After Adi Kailash yatra, it is time to come back. Drive to Dharchula via same route. On reaching Dharchula, stay overnight in hotel.

Day 8: Dharchula to Kathgodam via Almora
- Distance: 340 Kms
- Travel Time: 8-9 Hours
- Elevation: 1600 Metres
Drive from Almora to Kathgodam during your last day when you travel a long distance (83 km). Also, on your way you will find Chitai Golu Devata Mandir that God of justice is often worshipped. Pilgrims leave bells and written prayers here to get divine intervention in their lives. Also visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar temple near Gangolihat dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave is a network of narrow passages and intricately carved rock formations of various deities. Then proceed to Kathgodam for your further journey.

Day 9: Kathgodam to Delhi
Post breakfast, the trip will return from Kathgodam to Delhi which will take approx 7 hours to reach. Here the tour concludes with wonderful memories.
